Gorillabox completes next phase of development

Gorillabox has now completed the next phase of its development. We’ve rolled out our G-Box platform into a brand new state-of-the-art data centre.

This means that our customers will benefit from extremely high uptime and full power redundancy through the use of UPS, backup generators and duplicate power supplies for all equipment. Connectivity is provided by a 20GBit resilient Ethernet ring linked to multiple carriers in London’s Docklands.

The Gorillabox platform has the highest level of resilience possible and can handle any of our customers’ requirements, however large. As well as this, the G-Box ensures rapid mobile site generation, full billing support across all operators, in site advertising and site promotion.

Dynamic Bitrate Adaptation (DBA) has been improved, enabling the platform to stream content regardless of the bandwidth available. DBA means that the customer can roam between different cells, receiving a continuous stream – even if they roam from a 2.5G to a 3G cell.
