Gorillabox partners with international AIDS charity 46664 to deliver global mobile TV services

23rd June 2008 - Gorillabox, the fully managed mobile TV enabler, has partnered with international London-headquartered AIDS charity 46664 to provide a range of mobile TV services and full mobile portal.

Starting with the live Hyde Park concert on the 27th June 2008, Gorillabox will host, manage and deploy free and chargeable video content as well as promotional information on a dedicated mobile internet site for 46664.

Comprising artists such as Queen, Annie Lennox, Amy Winehouse and Razorlight, Gorillabox will host and manage the video content from the live event and make it available over mobile networks across the UK.

Gorillabox will be responsible for the deployment of content on the streaming platform, billing integration and customer care, while 46664 will market the service and work with Gorillabox on making live video content available from the event.

46664 takes its name from Mr. Mandela’s Robben Island prison number. He was prisoner number 466, incarcerated in 1964.

46664 recently unveiled its new campaign “It’s in our hands”, which will build on its past achievements and expand its outreach activities in South Africa to communities and schools to engage the youth who are at most at risk. The not-for-profit organisation harnesses the universal connecting power of music, sport and entertainment to deliver its messages primarily to the younger generations. The campaign is supported by over 80 international ambassadors from the world of sport and entertainment.
